Programs

Traditionally Lucy Baker School has been well known in our community for serving a diversity of Middle Years' students. The school serves 13 – 15 year old students both from the Prince Albert R.C.S.S.D. #6 and the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division. There is a continued emphasis on attendance and academic performance. The goal of Lucy Baker School is for all students to transition to a regular school setting in order to complete their high school education. Student s referred to Lucy Baker may have ongoing attendance issues, ongoing academic issues or other contributing factors that have impacted their success at school. Referrals are sent by the referring school to the appropriate school division personnel to be reviewed before being sent to Lucy Baker. Self referrals also have to be submitted to division personnel for approval. Referral Form.

Parental Involvement
Parents are invited and encouraged to work with their child and school staff to increase student attendance and success at school. As the initial teachers of their children, parents are a critical support and factor in the success of students. Parent attendance at intake meetings and student/parent/teacher interviews are considered key to supporting students.
